Description

Surgical Technologist (CST/ORT) - Travel Position

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide compassionate care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) by maintaining nursing practice standards and fostering positive therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
Primary procedures involve open heart surgery; when unavailable, participate in other surgical specialties.
Work primarily Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Participate in emergency call rotation every third week for 7 days.
Must be willing to float to different units or hospitals as needed.
Patient-facing clinical role.
Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
Parking available.
Guaranteed 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a CVOR Technologist.
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Additional Information

This is an on-site position (not remote).
Must be willing to float to other units or hospitals as needed.
Timesheet approver roles assigned but not relevant for candidate consideration.
