Description

Physical Therapist - Outpatient (Travel/Contract)

Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
  • Setting: Outpatient Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy, Therapy Pool, Full Service Gym
  • Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5 days a week, 40 hours/week)
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1 (no double patients)
  • Patient Age Range: 7 to 90 years old
  • Weekend Requirement: None
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Locals accepted at same rate

Required Qualifications

  • Wyoming Physical Therapist (PT) State License in Hand or ability to apply immediately (license processing takes approximately 6 weeks)
  • Minimum 1.5 years of PT experience required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, preferably from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start date
  • Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year required
  • Immunization or titer proof for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (or documented history/vaccination/declination as applicable)
  • 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start date
  • Annual flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • Background checks within 1 year including SS trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide sex offender registry
  • Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
  • Two professional references within 3 years (for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles)
  • Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
  • Government-issued photo ID and emergency contact form required prior to start

  • Parking: Free
  • Facility is not a Magnet, Teaching, or Trauma Level center

Notes

  • No weekend shifts required
  • Patient care is one-on-one only
  • Prior travel experience is not required for this position
