Registered Nurse (Surgery) - Travel Position
Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide nursing care independently in a cardiovascular operating room setting, including open-heart cases.
- Support general OR cases as needed.
- Utilize nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitor side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Demonstrate leadership consistent with professional nursing competencies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Cardiovascular open-heart case experience
- CVOR experience
- Experience with Epic
Work Schedule
- Full-time, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each.
- Tuesday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Additional Information
- Must disclose Return to Origin (RTO) status upfront before offer.
