Description
Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Registered Nurse)
Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule & Shift Details
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Call required every other week (EOW)
- Weekend shifts every other week (EOW)
- Floating and holiday shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and Pennsylvania-specific PATCH search
- Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Childline) search required 3 business days prior to start and renewed every 5 years
- Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start (specific to agency requirements)
- Two professional references within 3 years
- Most recent resume or employment application
- Annual skills checklist
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Fit mask testing within 1 year, updated annually (specific approved mask types required)
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Hepatitis B (full vaccine series or positive titer)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titers)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; PPD not accepted
- Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption or declination accepted
Facility & Orientation Requirements
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
- Clear, passport-style photo required for badge
- Completion of facility-specific documents including:
- Code of Conduct
- Confidentiality Agreement
- Commitment to Health & Wellness
- Non-Employee Affidavit
- Hepatitis B declination form (if applicable)
- Safety and Security Vehicle Registration (review/sign)
- Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start (not accessible via cell phone)
- New hire orientation required by end of first day
Additional Information
- Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days
- Candidate will undergo clinical screening and manager interview prior to final approval
- Medication, pharmacology, and dysrhythmia/EKG competency exams required as applicable
- Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing required within 48 hours of contract signing
- Floating and holiday shifts may be assigned as needed
