Registered Nurse – PCU (Night Shift) – Ann Arbor, Michigan

Position Details

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 19:00–7:00)
Hours per Week: 36
Patient Ratio: 1:3-4
Weekends: 4 weekend days per schedule

Unit Description

Specializes in postoperative care for adult patients after head and neck cancer surgeries (e.g., laryngectomy, glossectomy, tracheostomy), major reconstructive and microvascular procedures, oral maxillofacial and facial bone surgeries, neuro/ortho spine operations, and vascular procedures such as carotid endarterectomy.
Provides telemetry, general medical, acute, and moderate care.
Home to Otolaryngology, Oral Maxillofacial, Neuro/Ortho Spine, and Vascular Services.
Utilizes specialized equipment including tracheostomy and airway care supplies, oxygen delivery systems, Doppler and tissue perfusion monitors, specialized wound care devices, neuro and cardiac monitors, cervical collars and braces, compression devices for vascular patients, IV pumps, and patient transfer equipment.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Experience with Art Line procedures
Telemetry experience
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Experience in managerial roles
