Location: Fishers, Indiana

Job Details
- Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours per week: 36
- Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care
- Float Requirement: Yes, must float to Med-Surg unit
- Locals not accepted (must be traveling)
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract
- Guaranteed hours vary by shift pattern (8, 10, or 12-hour shifts)
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, including PCU experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NRP certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
- Background checks within 90 days including:
- 7-year address history
- SSN Trace
- County and Statewide criminal checks
- National Sex Offender Registry
- FACIS Level III
- Education verification (may be pending at start if new traveler)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Official transcript or diploma (may be pending at start if needed)
- State license verification within 30 days of start through primary source
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months (approved respirators required)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
- Immunizations and titers:
- TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination required
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap strongly recommended (preferred but not required)
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (9/30 - 3/31)
- Annual TB questionnaire required
- Color blind testing (Ishihara exam or equivalent) with 100% minimum score
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam and unit competency exam required
Additional Requirements
- Must provide a minimum of 2 professional references from recent employment within 2 years; references must be from charge nurses, managers, supervisors, or higher
- Current employment application with full work history and explanations for any gaps of 30 days or more (covering last 7 years)
- Skills checklist completed within 12 months and updated annually
- Must complete facility-specific compliance and orientation documents prior to start
Important Notes
- Indiana RNs (except Perioperative/OR, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers) will not be allowed to work at this facility after 11/30/2024

This position offers a structured night shift schedule in a progressive care setting with a requirement to float to med-surg, suitable for RNs with at least 2 years of experience and all required certifications and licenses in hand before starting.
