Interventional Radiology Travel/Contract Position
Location: Kenner, Louisiana
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), Monday through Friday
- Call: 10 call shifts per month, including at least one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Weekend: 3 weekend call shifts per month included in the 10 call shifts
- Schedule: Self-scheduling of call shifts after daily schedule is set; monthly schedule finalized by manager
- Long Weekend: One long weekend off per month without needing to request (e.g., off Friday and Monday if working Monday-Thursday)
- Emergency Team: Upon assignment start, may be required to stay at facility during emergency events or serve on relief team as assigned by unit manager
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Louisiana
- Interventional Radiology Technologist (3 years of experience)
- Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ARRT (R)
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Identification: Current/valid Driver’s License or government photo ID (color copy required)
- Background Checks:
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly
- Sex offender search within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education Verification: Primary or third-party verification of highest education level required
- Employment History: Resume/application with 7 years of employment history and explanation for gaps
- Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start; must be initiated within 24-48 hours of offer acceptance; instant screenings not accepted
- Physical Exam: Required within 12 months of start, indicating good physical health
- Fit Mask Testing: Fit testing within one year of start; can be completed onsite if needed (authorization required)
- Immunizations/Vaccinations: Must meet one of the following for each:
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive IGG titer or completed vaccine series (2 doses)
- Hepatitis B: Positive Surface Antibody/IGG titer, completed vaccine series (3 doses), booster after negative titer, or signed declination within 1 year
- Varicella: Positive IGG titer, completed vaccine series (2 doses), or booster after negative titer
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Tdap required for specific areas (not generally for this role)
- TB Testing: Negative PPD, Qgold, or Tspot within 12 months of start; updated annually; for positive results, additional documentation required
- Flu Vaccination: Vaccine, declination, or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be comfortable with emergency event assignments as directed by unit management.
- All certifications and licenses must be current or in the process of renewal prior to start date.
- Photo for badge must be a full-color, passport-style photo taken within the last 6 months with a plain background and no obstructions or filters.
