Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer Travel Job - Bend, Oregon
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours
- Daily Caseload: Approximately 10 patients
- Patient Population: Neonate through geriatric, inpatient and outpatient echo lab
- Equipment Used: Philips Epiq, Merge PACS
- On-Call Requirement: Yes, 7:30 AM to 7:00 AM rotating days and some weekends
- Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends every 4th weekend with some flexibility
- Floating: No floating within or to sister facilities
- Local Candidates: Not accepted within 75-mile radius (proof of address required)
- Pending State License: Accepted on a case-by-case basis
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: 7 total days allowed in 13-week assignment
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ultrasound Technologist license in Oregon
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Cardiac Sonographer experience
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start
- Immunizations/Vaccines:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years (given after age 19) or declination accepted
- Negative TB test (QGold) within 1 year; for positive responders, negative chest X-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire required
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; booster or declination accepted for low/equivocal titers
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer required (vaccine series alone not accepted); booster or declination accepted for low/equivocal titers
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; booster or declination accepted for low/equivocal titers
- Drug Testing: Negative 12-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (not required annually)
- Flu Vaccination: Required or agency declination/exemption during flu season (deadline 12/01); masking required during high transmission
- COVID Vaccination: Preferred but not required; vaccination record or declination/exemption required
- Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required within 1 year of start and annually
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with solid background required within 48 hours of signing and no later than 2 Wednesdays prior to start
- Agreements: Confidentiality, contractual/third-party access, compliance/privacy program attestation, and emergency contact forms must be reviewed, signed, and on file within 48 hours of signing and no later than 2 Wednesdays prior to start
- Skills Checklist: Required annually
This position is ideal for first-time travel clinicians and requires flexibility for rotating weekends and on-call shifts. Prior travel experience is not required.
