Description

Physical Therapist (PT) - Temp, Long Term Care (LTC)

Location: Worchester, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8


Job Description

  • Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care.
  • Develop and implement appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards.
  • Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
  • Administer treatments including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
  • Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly; evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness.
  • Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
  • Document all required information accurately in electronic records and maintain patient records per policy.
  • Record treatment minutes in compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
  • Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings or in-services.
  • Obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies as needed.
  • Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students.
  • Adhere to APTA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts
  • Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
  • Experience in Long Term Care settings
  • Experience in Rehabilitation settings

Additional Information

  • Work schedule includes 8-hour day shifts.
  • Participation in holiday and overtime shifts may be required.
