Registered Nurse – ER (Night Shift)

Job Details

• Shift: Night, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
• Call: Not required
• Floating: Required as needed within scope
• Start Date: ASAP
• EMR System: Cerner
• Experience: Must have Cerner and Critical Access Hospital experience
• Block Scheduling: Willing to discuss during interview

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• TNCC certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Cerner EMR system

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Required vaccinations or immunity documentation:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• COVID-19 vaccine required or approved medical/religious exemption (booster not required)
• Seasonal flu vaccination documentation required if starting between October 1 and March 31 (declinations accepted)
• Physical exam within the last 12 months
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)

Background & Verification

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) search required within 12 months prior to start
• Education verification upon client request (highest degree earned)
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
• Employment application and resume required
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units

• Orientation safety manual acknowledgment required
• Performance evaluations required if worked over 1 year with the agency
