Registered Nurse – Endoscopy
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of experience for an Endoscopy unit. This role requires working every other weekend and offers orientation bi-weekly. Local candidates within 75 miles are eligible.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy experience, with Endoscopy experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one prior travel assignment
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Orientation & Scheduling
- Orientation sessions held bi-weekly
- Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (day shift)
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background Checks: Must be completed within 90 days of start, including multi-county and nationwide searches, sex offender, education verification, and others as applicable
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen including THC within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
- Health Requirements:
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
- Required vaccinations and titers: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years), Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination), Polio vaccine or attestation
- Seasonal flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
- References: Two professional references from employment within the last 12 months; at least one must be a supervisor
- Employment Application: Complete with 7 years of work history
- Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually
- Competency Exam: Unit-specific competency exam required
Facility & System Requirements
- Must set up a Guest Account prior to clearance to access orientation and work systems
- Completion of online modules prior to orientation is required
- Competency checklists (CBOs) must be completed within 3 weeks after start date
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Blue Card training may be required depending on unit
Additional Notes
- Candidates with less than a 30-day gap between previous assignments may have some documentation requirements waived or accepted on file
- Local candidates within 75 miles are eligible and may receive a different rate (not included here)
- Candidates must be prepared to comply with all facility-specific onboarding and credentialing processes
This position is ideal for experienced travel RNs with Endoscopy skills who meet licensure and certification requirements and are ready for a 13-week contract with day shifts and weekend work.
