Registered Nurse – Endoscopy

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of experience for an Endoscopy unit. This role requires working every other weekend and offers orientation bi-weekly. Local candidates within 75 miles are eligible.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy experience, with Endoscopy experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Orientation & Scheduling

• Orientation sessions held bi-weekly
• Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (day shift)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Background Checks: Must be completed within 90 days of start, including multi-county and nationwide searches, sex offender, education verification, and others as applicable
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen including THC within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
  • Required vaccinations and titers: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years), Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination), Polio vaccine or attestation
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
• References: Two professional references from employment within the last 12 months; at least one must be a supervisor
• Employment Application: Complete with 7 years of work history
• Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually
• Competency Exam: Unit-specific competency exam required

Facility & System Requirements

• Must set up a Guest Account prior to clearance to access orientation and work systems
• Completion of online modules prior to orientation is required
• Competency checklists (CBOs) must be completed within 3 weeks after start date
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Blue Card training may be required depending on unit

Additional Notes

• Candidates with less than a 30-day gap between previous assignments may have some documentation requirements waived or accepted on file
• Local candidates within 75 miles are eligible and may receive a different rate (not included here)
• Candidates must be prepared to comply with all facility-specific onboarding and credentialing processes

This position is ideal for experienced travel RNs with Endoscopy skills who meet licensure and certification requirements and are ready for a 13-week contract with day shifts and weekend work.
