Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Midland, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks

Job Description

• Start date within the next 3-4 weeks
• Experience needed in General, Orthopedic, Neuro, Trauma, and ENT surgeries
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Call required
• Schedule is variable with rotating days off; no block schedule or set days guaranteed
• Shifts: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Day shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in Orthopedics, Neurology, Trauma, and ENT surgeries

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Flexibility to work variable schedules and rotating shifts
• Ability to handle call responsibilities
• Experience in multiple surgical specialties including trauma and neuro preferred

Additional Notes

• Traveler must be flexible as schedule varies weekly
• No block scheduling allowed
• Facility requires annual renewal of background checks for travel candidates
• Fit testing: N95 fit test required within 1 year of start; PAPR not accepted
