Description

Registered Nurse – Outpatient Oncology

Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours: 9 hours/day, 4 days/week (7:45 AM – 5:15 PM)

Option to flex to three 12-hour shifts
No weekend or major holiday requirements (clinic closed on major holidays)

Unit Details

Outpatient Oncology Center with 21 chairs
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 4 patients
EMR system: EPIC
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor present
No floating required
No drips, vents, IV team, or respiratory therapist on site
No hospitalist or intensivist in house
Pharmacy not available 24/7 (outpatient setting)

Patient Population

Cancer of all types
Anemia
Rheumatoid arthritis

Required Qualifications

Current RN license
BLS (AHA) certification
ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy provider card required
Experience with chemotherapy is greatly preferred but not mandatory
Any background hits must be disclosed at time of submission

Orientation

Floor-specific orientation based on infusion and chemotherapy experience
Training on unique infusion medications and monitoring processes provided

Additional Information

Scrub color: navy
No telemetry or nurse’s read strips required
No weekend or holiday work required
