Cath Lab Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Hays, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Primarily responsible for catheterizations and peripheral procedures.
• Experience with electrophysiology (EP) and devices preferred to assist with late stays.
• Procedures may include: LHC PCI, atherectomy, IVL, Impella/IABP, PTA/atherectomy, ablations, TAVR/EVAR, venous thrombectomy, Watchman devices, and fistulagrams.
• Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (5x8 hours). Facility may accommodate 4 10-hour shifts if EP experience is present.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• ARRT-R or RCIS certification.
• Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
• Kansas state license required (current verification and primary source verification).
• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service.
• Background check: 7-year criminal history within one year of start, updated annually, including all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation required.
• Negative 13-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted).
• Required vaccinations or documented exemptions: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza (seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season).
• Negative Quantiferon Gold TB test within 1 year of start, updated annually; if positive, negative chest X-ray within 2 years and annual TB questionnaire required.
• Physical exam within last 12 months.

Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required for all units.
• Pass/fail testing on EKG/medications and other nursing competencies during orientation.
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required.

Additional Requirements

• References: Two professional references within 2 years required for travel positions.
• Completion of employment application/resume.
• Completion of skills checklist annually if applicable.
• Facility-specific orientation attendance required (business casual attire recommended; scrubs allowed if required for position).
• Respirator clearance required prior to start (RespSafety virtual questionnaire reviewed by licensed healthcare professional).
• Facility vaccination declination form required if candidate declines any required vaccines.
