Registered Nurse – MS/Telemetry Nights
Location: Belleville, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Night (3 shifts of 12 hours each; 18:45 to 7:15)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Float: Within service line and between two nearby locations
- Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
- Locals Accepted: Yes, within 75-mile radius (local rate applies)
- On-call: Not required
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week for 3-12 hour shifts; 48 hours/week for 4-12 hour shifts
- Start Date: Biweekly starts, 3-4 weeks per compliance tier
- RTO Restrictions: 7 days off within 13-week contract

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing
- Recent experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Compliance and Background Requirements
- Government-issued ID required
- Criminal background check within 6 months (7-year search including statewide, nationwide, and international if applicable)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (quarterly)
- Education verification of highest nursing degree (cannot pend at start)
- Fingerprinting required for assignments at or floating to long-term care or rehab units in Illinois
- State-specific exclusion and sanction list checks for Illinois
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, including a comprehensive panel (must not expire during assignment)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask test (N95) required and must be renewed annually
- Immunizations and health documentation:
- Tdap vaccine or declination (expires every 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray (2 negative PPDs or T-Spot/Q-Gold within 1 year)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination (with unit-specific exemptions)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (09/30 - 04/01)
Certifications and Training
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Not required for this unit
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
- Unit-specific competency exams required annually (Oncology competency exam required for Med Surg-Oncology unit)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) if applicable per unit
- Regulatory compliance education and HIPAA acknowledgment must be completed annually
- Badge photo required (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months)
- Hand hygiene, fingernail, and dress code policies must be reviewed and signed prior to start

- First-time travelers accepted

- Must adhere to facility policies including dress code and hygiene standards
- Candidates must be able to float within the service line and between two nearby locations
- All required documents and certifications must be uploaded and verified prior to start
