Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Night Shift
Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 18:00 - 6:00)
- Hours per week: 36
- Work schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays (weekends every other week required)
- Floating within scope and between like units required
- Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patients in ICU settings
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- On-call: Not required
- Return to work policy: Must be off assignment for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Maximum of 2 contracts allowed consecutively (can extend once), then must be off for 6 months before returning
- No local candidates accepted within 50-mile radius of the main campus

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
Additional Requirements
- Must submit a professional, passport-style photo for badge issuance (no large earrings, face piercings, unnatural hair colors, or head coverings unless for religious reasons)
- Completion and signing of facility-specific documents prior to start, including but not limited to:
- Job description acknowledgment
- Confidentiality and information agreement
- Patient identification agreement
- Conflict of interest questionnaire
- Staff call out acknowledgment
- Corporate code of conduct acknowledgment
- Policy tech access acknowledgment
- Professional appearance acknowledgment
- Emergency contact form
- Parking registration (if driving to work)
- Computer use acknowledgment
- Completion of mandatory orientation and training modules prior to start (due the Monday before start date)
- Must comply with facility’s return-to-work and contract limits policies
- Only 4 days allowed off during assignment (RTO), no holidays off
- All call-offs require makeup shifts as deemed necessary by the department

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
- Locals within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted for this travel assignment
- Candidates must be comfortable working with both pediatric and adult ICU patients
- Floating between units within scope is required to meet facility needs
This position offers an opportunity to work in a Level III Trauma Center with a robust acute care environment, supporting both adult and pediatric respiratory care on night shifts.
