Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR) (Days)

Location: Waterloo, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
• Orientation scheduled (example date provided: August 10)
• Use of EPIC electronic medical records system (training available if needed)
• Call back and on-call shifts available with additional compensation
• Charge/preceptor pay available

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• At least 3 months of total travel nursing experience
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience in Orthopedics, Neurology, and OB/GYN

Additional Information

• Employee separation policy restricts past employees from working travel assignments in other markets within 12 months if previously employed full-time or PRN in the float pool
• New graduate or first-time travel nurses are not eligible
• Non-local candidates preferred (minimum 50 miles radius rule)
• Night before orientation (NBO) is 16 hours
