Cath Lab Tech (Travel/Contract) - Portland, Oregon
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour days (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), Monday to Friday
- Hours per Week: 40 hours
- Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
- Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital, Adult Level I Trauma, Teaching hospital
- Total Staffed Beds: 539
Work Schedule & Requirements
- Weekend coverage: 1 weekend every 4 weeks (Friday-Saturday-Sunday)
- On-call: 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend every 4 weeks (from Friday end of shift to 7:00 AM Monday)
- 30-minute response time required when on call
- Floating: Mandatory floating within the site and across the system; refusal to float may result in contract cancellation
- Education: Travelers must complete any assigned education within one week of assignment
- Low census cancellation: Must cancel 1.5 hours before shift start; mandatory cancellation allowed one shift per two-week pay period without penalty
- Scrub color: Any color except all black or camo print for RN/Allied staff; OR/L&D/Cath Lab scrubs provided
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Oregon
- Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS (American Heart Association only; RQI and instructor cards accepted)
- BLS (American Heart Association only; RQI and instructor cards accepted)
- ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography)
Additional Information
- No return to office (RTO) in the first 2 weeks; maximum 7 days of RTO allowed
- Charting system: Epic
- Parking: Free in any unrestricted space; EV charging available
This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab Technologists with strong skills in angiography and scrub procedures, who are flexible with floating and on-call responsibilities in a busy Level I Trauma teaching hospital setting.
