Job Opportunity: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer

Location

• Hagerstown, Maryland

Employment Type

• Travel / Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Shift: Days, 5x8 hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (6 weekends per contract)
• No on-call required
• No floating between units or sister facilities
• Block scheduling accommodations available
• Local candidates accepted only with approval

Caseload

• Approximately 15 cases per day

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology (Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer)
• First-time travelers accepted
• Prior travel experience is not required

Licensure & Certifications

• Must hold a valid Maryland state license or a compact state license with proof of residency in the compact state
• Required Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Pediatric experience required (Adult and Pediatric experience both required)
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC) but not specified for this role

Facility & Charting

• Teaching hospital with 327 staffed beds
• Electronic charting system: EPIC

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Copy of Driver’s License/State ID matching license state
• Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG (all required annually)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start date (must be updated annually)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual updates required)
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (or declination)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start date
• Flu vaccine required annually (declinations or exemptions not accepted)
• NIH Stroke Certification required for all units except Pediatrics, OB, and Labor & Delivery (must be updated annually)
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required
• Proof of 2 clinical references
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable

Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo Technologist
• Echo Technologist experience within the last year
• Experience working with Adult patients
• Experience working with Pediatric patients

Additional Notes

• Pending Maryland state license accepted
• Return-to-Office (RTO) restrictions: 2 requests allowed
• Parking cost: Not applicable or not charged
