Description
Echocardiography Technologist III (Pediatric/Fetal Cardiology)
Location: Miami, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience as an Echo Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- RDCS or RCS credential, with registry eligibility through ARDMS or CCI
- Associate degree in Allied Health or a related field, or completion of a 2 to 4 year Diagnostic Ultrasound program
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
Preferred Qualifications
- ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography (FE) credential
- Minimum 2 years of fetal echocardiography experience
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex congenital heart and fetal echocardiograms independently
- Analyze imaging data and present findings to physicians
- Collaborate with cardiologists regarding fetal echocardiogram findings
- Assist with special and invasive cardiac procedures
- Educate patients and families about procedures and findings
- Maintain echocardiography equipment and support quality improvement initiatives

- Strong pediatric cardiac imaging experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-acuity environments
- Strong attention to detail and clinical judgment
Travel Requirement
- Must be willing to travel between cardiology clinic locations as needed for fetal imaging coverage
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- 7-year background check within 30 days of start (including nationwide, OIG, sex offender, SS, education verification, federal district criminal)
- Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Education verification
- Facility-specific curriculum and video training modules completed prior to start
- Facility-specific job description signed before start
- COVID-19 vaccine attestation required
- TDAP vaccination or attestation required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit test within 1 year of start (for mask fitting)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually
- Required immunizations or positive titers within 10 years for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, renewed annually
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (declinations not accepted; medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- 10 years of work history documentation
- Skills checklist completed annually
- Two professional references within 3 years of start
