Description

Physical Therapist (Outpatient) - Travel/Contract

Location: Cades, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Shift: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8 hour shifts)
  • Patient Load: Approximately 10 patients per day Monday-Thursday, 5 on Friday
  • Session Length: 45 minutes per session, including evaluations
  • Double Booking: Rare, only 1-2 per day maximum, never for Medicare patients
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1
  • Weekend Requirement: No
  • On-call Requirement: No
  • Holiday Requirement: Possible
  • Floating: May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units/sister facilities
  • Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks
  • Locals Accepted: No
  • Local Radius: 60 miles

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in South Carolina
  • Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
  • Experience in an outpatient setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Additional Requirements & Compliance

  • Copy of Driver’s License and Social Security Card required
  • Annual background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including national and state criminal checks, sex offender registry, and FACIS 3
  • Employment eligibility verification (E-Verify) and I-9 form required
  • Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
  • Immunizations and titers required:
    • Tdap (within 10 years or declination form)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if low titer)
    • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
    • Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if low titer)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold; chest X-ray if positive)
  • 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Aug 1 - Mar 31)
  • COVID vaccination not required but highly preferred; if declined, must complete vaccination declination form
  • Respirator medical clearance required annually for patient-facing staff
  • Proof of 2 clinical references and performance evaluation dated within 12 months of start
  • Complete employment application/resume and skills checklist (updated annually)
  • Facility-specific documents including signed assignment acknowledgment, confidentiality agreements, code of conduct, HR policy manual, system user agreement, and photo for badge
  • Orientation modules must be completed prior to start (approx. 2-6 hours depending on location)

  • First-time travelers accepted if outpatient experience is met
  • Education verification not required for this facility
  • Radiation badge not required for this role
  • All licensure and certification documents must be valid and not expiring within 30 days of start date
  • Travelers may be required to complete emergency response duties during hurricane season (June-November)
