Job Opportunity: Critical Care Float Nurse

Work Schedule

Night shift, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Weekend requirement: every other weekend

Job Description

Float between 2 nearby campuses within the ICU Float Pool covering 5 ICU specialties and step-down units
Must float within scope to meet facility needs, including pulmonary step-down unit with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
Guaranteed hours provided
Shuttle service available between campuses; parking available at a cost

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
