Description
MRI Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)
Location: Tyler, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Employment Type: Travel, Full Time
Job Summary
- Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced MRI imaging procedures.
- Support other imaging technologists as needed to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow.
- Troubleshoot basic maintenance issues and resolve problems related to image processing and archiving systems.
- Participate in quality assurance (QA), ongoing education, safety, and technical advancements within licensure scope.
- Provide basic MRI screening of patients and employees.
- Adhere to expected imaging competencies and organizational values.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work other shifts or locations as required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with hospital, state, and federal policies.
- Collaborate with management, coworkers, and physicians to promote staff development and physician satisfaction.
- Adapt patient assessment and care methods to meet unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-specific needs.
- Ensure exams are properly scanned and stored in PACS; follow PACS downtime procedures as a superuser.
- Report equipment malfunctions and follow up with appropriate personnel.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist, with experience within the last year preferred.
- Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) by ARRT (MR) or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
