Description
Physical Therapist (PT) - Temp Position
Location: Lincoln, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Responsible for delegating tasks to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides.
- Patient-focused activities including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation following physical therapy standards and physician orders.
- Evaluate patient function through formal and informal testing of skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status.
- Develop goal-specific treatment plans based on assessment data and patient tolerance.
- Submit written treatment plans as part of the authorized plan of care; update plans as patient status changes.
- Coordinate treatment schedules with patients, families, and clinical support staff.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on pathology, prognosis, treatment rationale, and alternatives.
Required Qualifications
- Active Michigan Physical Therapist (PT) license.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Physical Therapy experience (required).
- Outpatient experience (required).
- Acute care experience (highly preferred).
- Work history and skills checklist relevant to Physical Therapy, current within 1 year.
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered).
