Registered Nurse - Cath Lab Holding

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5x8 hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
  • No weekends or holidays required
  • Patient population includes those undergoing:
    • TEE/Cardioversions
    • PCI
    • Diagnostic Heart Catheterization
    • Peripheral Vascular percutaneous procedures
    • Pacemakers
    • Cardiac Ablation
    • Structural Heart Procedures
    • Loop Recorder insertions
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required
  • First-time travelers are welcome

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of Pre/Post Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
  • Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
  • Telemetry experience required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start
  • Immunizations and health documents required:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine proof
    • Negative TB test (Qgold/TSPOT) within 6 months or chest X-ray if positive history
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination proof
    • Hepatitis B titer or declination
    • Varicella immunity or vaccination proof
    • Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • Fit mask test (N95) completed within current calendar year and updated annually
  • Physical exam (if applicable) within 12 months of start
  • Health History Form and other facility-specific forms must be completed prior to clearance
  • Badge photo meeting strict facility requirements must be submitted prior to start (no selfies, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire)

Additional Requirements

  • Two supervisory references required from clinical assignments within the last 24 months (one within 12 months)
  • Employment application/resume with 7-year work history required
  • Verification of all employment within last 5 years through third-party vendor
  • Annual skills checklist with a one-week grace period for renewal
  • Completion of orientation safety manual acknowledgement
  • Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing policies for EPIC and EKG exams
  • Compliance with facility floating policy and contractor equipment acknowledgement forms

Important Notes

  • Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and aware of zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
  • Compliance deadline is 12 Noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date
  • Fingerprinting required only for Home Health and Long-Term Care positions (not applicable here)
  • Prior travel experience is not required for this position

This position offers a structured day shift schedule with no weekends or holidays, focusing on cardiac catheterization lab holding patients. It requires solid cardiac telemetry experience, certifications, and compliance with strict facility credentialing and immunization standards.
