Description
Nuclear Medicine Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Kingman, Arizona
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule includes rotating on-call duties.
- Experience required in PET, Nuclear Medicine, and Cardiac Stress procedures.
- Minimum 1 year of specialty experience required.
- Prior travel experience is not required.
- Preferred experience with Meditech charting system (not mandatory).
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Arizona
- Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (N) certification
- CNMT certification
- PET certification
- Experience with Cardiac Stress testing
- Experience as a Positron Emission Tomography Technologist
Required Certifications
- ARRT (Nuclear Medicine)
- CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist)
- PET certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as applicable
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as applicable
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) as applicable
Required Licenses and Verifications
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Primary source online verification of state license
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check within 30 days of start, updated annually, including:
- Social Security trace
- County searches for last 7 years of residence/work/school
- Nationwide and sex offender searches
- Education verification through NSCH
- Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Transcript/Diploma verification required for all candidates
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSPOT) or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
- Varicella (titer, vaccination, or history of chickenpox)
- 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (October 1 – March 31)
Documentation and Facility Requirements
- Passport-style photo with solid background for badge
- Completion of facility-specific forms including:
- Employee security and confidentiality agreement
- Behavioral expectations
- Right to know
- HIPAA and information security training
- Agency attestation and candidate forms
- Job description acknowledgment specific to Nuclear Medicine Tech role
References and Competencies
- Two professional references within 3 years required
- Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
