Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel/Contract

Location

Position Details

  • Shift: Night shift, either 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
  • Hours per week: 36 to 48 hours depending on shift pattern
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Weekend Requirement: Work every third weekend
  • Floating: May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
  • Schedule Flexibility: Block schedule requests can be discussed with manager
  • Locals accepted with no radius restrictions

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Illinois
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring (EFM) interpretation skills and experience

Additional Requirements & Compliance

  • Must work every third weekend
  • No on-call requirement
  • Background checks including criminal, sex offender, and federal exclusions within 30 days of start
  • Primary source verification of certifications and state license required
  • Competency exam required for clinical candidates
  • Physical exam within one year of start, including labs within 7 days of contract signing
  • Fit mask test required prior to start (specific mask types accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year of start
  • Immunizations or documented immunity required for:
    • Measles (Rubeola)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B
    • Varicella
  • 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually by November 30
  • References: Two professional references required for travel and acute care clinical candidates
  • Badge photo required before start
  • Completion of computer-based orientation modules required before first day

  • Time off requests and schedule accommodations must be discussed with the manager
  • The client may cancel up to 36 hours of shifts during the 13-week assignment without penalty
  • Fingerprinting must be completed in Illinois for candidates without an Illinois state license providing direct care

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful.
