Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Step Down Unit (Nights)

Location: Port Huron, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Deliver nursing care within the assigned unit following hospital policies, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice.
Work in a Step Down unit with 36 private treatment rooms.
Must be willing to float to other units as needed.
Night shift, 12 hours per day.
Dress code: Navy Blue.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Stepdown nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
Strong cardiac experience and proficiency.
Stepdown unit experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior travel nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Additional Information

Orientation program tailored to individual needs is provided.
Ongoing staff development includes Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), wound care, and pain management training.
The unit offers a diverse patient population and a variety of clinical experiences supported by Clinical Nurse Specialists.

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
