Description

Radiation Therapist (Oncology) – Temp Position

Location: Petoskey, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Deliver quality patient care through radiation therapy treatments.
  • Perform treatment simulations and fabricate necessary shielding blocks.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Prepare equipment for patient treatments, perform quality control and assurance tests.
  • Ensure proper infection control techniques and adhere to radiation safety and protection practices.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with medical staff.
  • Follow a strict attendance policy: three absences or tardies (over 20 minutes) may result in immediate termination, with exceptions for documented communicable diseases or hospitalizations.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist, including experience within the last year.
  • At least 1 year of total travel experience as a Radiation Therapist.
  • ARRT (T) certification required.
  • Work experience with Varian and ARIA radiation therapy systems.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with TrueBeam, ARIA, and Trilogy radiation therapy systems.

Additional Information

  • Dress code: Scrubs of any color.
  • EMR system used: ARIA.
  • Local travel policy applies for candidates living within 35 miles of the facility.

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
