Description
Radiation Therapist (Oncology) – Temp Position
Location: Petoskey, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Deliver quality patient care through radiation therapy treatments.
- Perform treatment simulations and fabricate necessary shielding blocks.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Prepare equipment for patient treatments, perform quality control and assurance tests.
- Ensure proper infection control techniques and adhere to radiation safety and protection practices.
- Maintain professional working relationships with medical staff.
- Follow a strict attendance policy: three absences or tardies (over 20 minutes) may result in immediate termination, with exceptions for documented communicable diseases or hospitalizations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist, including experience within the last year.
- At least 1 year of total travel experience as a Radiation Therapist.
- ARRT (T) certification required.
- Work experience with Varian and ARIA radiation therapy systems.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with TrueBeam, ARIA, and Trilogy radiation therapy systems.
Additional Information
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color.
- EMR system used: ARIA.
- Local travel policy applies for candidates living within 35 miles of the facility.
