Description
Registered Nurse – Step Down Unit (Travel/Contract)
Location: Dayton, Ohio
Shift: Night (4 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 19:00–7:30)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Targeted patient ratios typically 1:4; may increase to 1:5-6
- 36 or 48-hour work weeks available; overtime paid after 48 hours
- Floating required at employer’s discretion, including to nearby campuses within 15 miles
- Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays
- Employer may cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract due to low census
- Contract cancellation possible with 2 weeks’ notice without penalty
- Travel nurses are not eligible for employer employee incentives
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of stepdown nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Experience with stable chronic ventilators
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
