Description

ICU Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Work every other weekend and float as needed.
  • May be assigned to non-critical care patients due to mixed patient populations on the unit.
  • Facility type: Short-term acute care hospital, Level II Trauma Center.
  • Charting system: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Connecticut.
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience.
  • ICU experience within the last year.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Background and Verification Requirements

  • 7-year work history with no gaps greater than 90 days.
  • Employment verification for last 7 years required (attestations not accepted).
  • 7-year criminal background check required within 12 months of start, updated annually.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
  • Sex Offender Search required.
  • Education verification of highest level required; foreign equivalency reports required for internationally educated candidates.
  • Transcript or diploma may be requested if education verification cannot be completed.
  • NURSYS license verification required within 30 days of start.
  • Attestation of Prior Radiation Exposure required if applicable to certain units (not typically ICU).
