MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Saint Joseph, Missouri
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) 14:00 - 00:30 (4 days/week, 10 hours/day)
On Call: 1 week on-call rotation every 9 weeks (Monday-Sunday)

Job Description

• Perform MRI technician duties within radiology and cardiology specialties.
• Work evening shifts with a consistent schedule and designated off days (Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday).
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience within the last year.
• ARRT MR (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Magnetic Resonance) certification.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
• Background checks within 30 days of start, including:

  • National Criminal Check
  • State and County Searches (10 years, all addresses and aliases)
  • SSN Trace with aliases
  • National Sex Offender Registry
  • FACIS Level 3
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Education verification with official transcript or diploma including graduation date.
• Missouri EDL Search within 30 days of start.
• Primary source verification of certifications and licenses within 30 days of start.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually).
• Fit mask testing completed onsite at orientation.
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q-Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year, updated annually. For positive TB results, chest x-ray and annual questionnaire required.
• Immunizations or documented immunity (2 doses, positive titer, or declination accepted) for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
• Hepatitis B vaccination series, titer, or declination accepted with appropriate timing for vaccine doses if incomplete.
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season or agency-approved medical/religious exemption with mask-wearing mandate.
• Drug screening within 30 days of start (not required annually), covering a comprehensive panel of substances.

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific confidentiality agreement, code of conduct, demographic form, and orientation quiz (minimum 84% passing score).
• Pass/fail testing including basic dysrhythmia exam (score 84% or higher, max 2 attempts; ICU unit has one attempt only).
• Medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable.
• References: 2 professional references within 3 years of start date.
• Employment application, skills checklist, and verification of most recent employer required.

Notes

• First-time travelers are welcome; prior travel experience is not required.
• Onsite training and annual renewals may be required if contract is extended.
• Compliance with all facility-specific policies and training is mandatory.
