Description

Registered Nurse – Medical Oncology

Location: Zanesville, Ohio
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday through Friday)
Hours: 40 hours per week (80 hours per pay period)


Job Summary

  • Provide and/or supervise nursing care of patients under the supervision of a medical oncologist.
  • Coordinate care planning with other caregivers and departments.
  • Adhere to universal precautions and infection control policies.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Deliver direct patient care according to physician orders in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Take and record patient measurements or readings.
  • Assess patient condition and provide appropriate treatment.
  • Administer prescribed medications.
  • Provide leadership and collaborate with other caregivers on the unit.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Ohio
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of 1 year oncology nursing experience within the last year

Additional Information

  • Start date is fixed on August 17th unless the nurse is a returning traveler within 9 months.
  • Facility may cancel up to 36 hours during the 13-week contract; these hours may include shifts other than 12-hour shifts.
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at submission and included in the confirmation to be honored.
  • Agency contracts must exactly match the confirmation page regarding start/end dates and RTO to maintain vendor status.

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
