Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota

Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse with strong Orthopedic OR skills; General OR experience is secondary
- Shifts: Five 8-hour shifts per week
- Start times available: 6:45 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 2:45 PM
- Weekend work: As needed
- On-call: Required as needed
- Floating: May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Block scheduling: Accommodations available
- Locals and candidates with pending licenses accepted
- First-time travel nurses not accepted

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Minnesota (pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
- Strong orthopedic OR experience
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC only, RQI acceptable
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), and other certifications as applicable per unit (review unit job description for specifics)
Additional Requirements and Notes
- Photo for badge: Passport-style headshot required within 48 hours of contract signing
- Parking: First day free parking validated; subsequent parking fees apply depending on shift and location
- Drug testing: 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (not required for client clearance)
- References: Not required for client clearance but required for Per Diem candidates
- Background checks and fingerprinting must be completed and cleared prior to start; candidates cannot start with fingerprints pending unless a “more time needed” letter without supervision is provided
- Candidates must complete MN DHS Net Study Fingerprint Questionnaire immediately after signing contract to initiate fingerprinting process
- Candidates may need to travel to a Livescan location for fingerprinting if not within driving distance of a Minnesota location
Work Environment and Expectations
- Acute care operating room setting with a focus on orthopedic procedures
- Teaching hospital environment with Level 3 trauma designation
- Floating within scope of practice may be required to meet facility needs
- On-call and weekend shifts as needed

Summary
This travel RN position in the Operating Room requires at least 1 year of strong orthopedic OR experience.
