Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)
Location: New Haven, Connecticut
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Schedule & Hours
- Two 12-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 8:00 PM) and two 8-hour shifts (either 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM) per week
- Flexible to work 10-hour shifts between 7:30 AM and 8:00 PM
- Accepts 4x10 or 5x8 shift schedules
- No weekends or holidays required
- Call shifts available to pick up

- Bi-campus coverage between two nearby campuses with shuttle transportation

Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Connecticut
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience & Licensure
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Locals not accepted
- No weekend requirement
- No on-call requirement
Orientation & Training
- Orientation starts every Monday
- Scrubs provided (Misty Green OR scrubs)
- Charting system: Epic

Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Valid driver’s license/state ID matching legal name required on first day
- 7-year criminal background check within 12 months, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Foreign equivalency education evaluation required for internationally educated candidates
- Education verification of highest level required
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (clean shaven required)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation required
- 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
- Annual flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID vaccination series preferred
Additional Mandatory Trainings & Certifications
- Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 85% score)
- Color Blind Testing (minimum 80% score) required for all candidates starting 8/2/2024
- Various facility-specific training modules and attestations (e.g., Fire Safety, Stroke Education, CLABSI Prevention, Suicide Risk Assessment, Patient Bedside Rounding, Baxter Pump Interoperability, Pyxis MedStation, 21st Century Cures Act, Chaperone Policy) to be completed as required
- Background checks and license verifications must be completed and approved prior to or within 30 days of start
References & Work History
- One supervisor reference within the past year required (charge nurse references not accepted)
- 7-year work history with no gaps greater than 90 days required
- Verification of last 7 years of employment mandatory for all start dates on/after 8/2/2024
- Skills checklist required within 12 months of start
- Attestation of prior radiation exposure required for this specialty
