Unit Information

• Unit: 7NE - Ortho/Telemetry
• Total Beds: 22
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Charge Nurse available 24/7
• 3 CNAs per shift with ratios of 1:7-8
• Telemetry available, but RNs are not required to read strips
• Respiratory therapy and equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow) used as needed
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Royal Blue

Patient Population & Experience Requirements

• Patient Types: Orthopedic patients including joints, replacements, and fractures
• Must have strong orthopedic experience with Total Joint Replacement experience (fracture experience alone is not sufficient)

Scheduling & Work Requirements

• Night shifts
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule
• Holiday work required as part of rotation
• Possible floating to units 7E, 7W, 10W, 10E
• Unit-specific orientation: 1-2 shifts on the unit (12-hour days, weekends, and holidays as scheduled)

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Current BLS Certification
• Valid driver’s license with an address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility

Additional Requirements & Notes

• COVID-19 vaccine required (fully vaccinated defined as 2 doses of Moderna or Pfizer, or 1 dose of J&J)

  • Medical or religious exemptions require approval through a formal exemption process
• Submission rules:

  • Only one submission allowed at a time across the system
  • Previous permanent candidates must have been off for 2 years
  • Previous travelers must have been off for 2 years after 1 full year of travel
  • Travel teams must be submitted together
  • Maximum of 2 candidates submitted per opening; others held for future openings

The role requires working night shifts with weekend and holiday rotations on a 22-bed orthopedic telemetry unit. BLS certification and COVID-19 vaccination are mandatory.
