Job Opportunity: Oncology Chemo Certified Registered Nurse

Job Description

• Provide nursing care for patients with hematological malignancies, bone marrow transplant, CAR-T therapy, chemotherapy administration, and solid oncology diagnoses.
• Patient ratio approximately 1:4.
• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM).
• Floating within the scope of skillset as needed across multiple campuses.
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
• Charting system: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience, with oncology experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Chemotherapy certification.
• IV Certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Competency and Testing Requirements

• Must complete medication/pharmacology competency exam within 72 hours of signing contract.
• Pass/fail testing required for EKG, IV therapy/infusion, and dysrhythmia competency exams within 72 hours of signing.
• Candidates have up to 3 attempts to pass each exam; failure after 3 attempts results in cancellation.
• Remediation provided after first failed attempt.
• NIH Stroke Certification required if applicable to unit.
• Annual education sign-off and safety manual acknowledgment required prior to start.

Additional Requirements

• Employment application or resume with 7 years of work history.
• Two professional references within the last 2 years, including at least one managerial reference.
• Work history verification required for New Jersey candidates, covering at least 1 year prior to start with no gaps over 30 days.
• Skills checklist must be completed and updated annually.
• Floating policy acknowledgment required for every new assignment or site transfer.
• Time off requests must be submitted and approved before offer.
• Block scheduling is not approved.
