Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) (Nights)
Location: Dubuque, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in a 16-bed Emergency Department with a patient ratio of 3:1.
- Schedule: Night shift, 36-40 hours per week with billable overtime after 40 hours.
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.
- Orientation dates available: August 3, 10, and 17.
- Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC (experience highly preferred).
- Scrubs: grey, solids.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa.
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Trauma Nursing Core Competency (TNCC) certification.
- Drip/titrate experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and heparin.
- Valid driver’s license.
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcomed.
- No local candidates within 90 miles will be considered.
- Employee separation policy restricts past employees of the health system from working travel contracts in other markets within 12 months.
- Call back pay and on-call pay available (details not included here).
- Orientation is 16 hours.

This is a temporary night shift RN position in an Emergency Department requiring at least 2 years of recent ED experience, advanced certifications, and specific critical care drip management skills.
