Job Opportunity: Emergency Psych RN - Nights
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
Job Summary
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Psychiatric Services department.
- Develop and update individualized interdisciplinary care plans.
- Evaluate patient outcomes and identify available resources.
- Care for patients aged 5 and older with psychiatric illnesses such as major depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorder, psychotic disorders, and those requiring detoxification.
- Work in a behavioral healthcare setting focused on mental health recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maine
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Psychiatric Emergency Department (Psych ED), with experience within the last year
- Mental health nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training
Additional Information
- Candidates currently holding licensure hits will not be considered.
- Previous employees of this facility are not eligible.
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
- Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
- The employer reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract.
- Local travelers receive a lower local rate (not detailed here).
