Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech
Location: Carbondale, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour days
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Position is for the open-heart surgical team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
- Call duty approximately 10 days per month, including 1 or occasionally 2 weekends, with a 30-minute call response time.
- Primary cases include scrubbing cardiac bypass, valve replacements, and robotic lung surgeries.
- Must be willing to scrub general OR cases if not needed in the CVOR.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CVOR Technologist license in Illinois
- Minimum of 2 years of CVOR Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification
- Experience scrubbing cardiac bypass cases
- Experience scrubbing valve replacement cases
- Experience scrubbing robotic lung cases
- Operating Room (OR) Technologist experience
Additional Information
- This is a contract position with a 13-week duration.
- The role involves consistent 8-hour shifts with on-call responsibilities.
