Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU (Night Shift)
Location: Maywood, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Details
- Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), 4NW
- Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Every third weekend
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Current RN license valid in Illinois
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- License and certification verifications must be dated within 30 days of start
Required Qualifications
- Experience in ICU nursing (Medical ICU preferred)
- Must have completed all required immunizations and health screenings prior to start, including:
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption (declination not accepted in Illinois)
- MMR vaccination or immunity proof
- Hepatitis B vaccination series (titers not accepted)
- Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
- Influenza vaccine (optional but recommended)
- 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test for TB screening
- Fit test for respiratory protection required
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year
Compliance & Documentation
- Must complete and submit the following prior to start:
- Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county, last 7 years) with SSN verification
- Education verification (highest academic degree or diploma)
- Professional references and skills checklist within the last year
- Various signed compliance forms including code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, conflict of interest disclosure, integrity and audit services form
- Exclusion and sanction screenings (OIG, EPLS, GSA) dated within 30 days
- Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year
- System access form completed one week before start
- National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days
Additional Information
- All certifications and verifications must be uploaded as scanned copies with front and back images where applicable
- Documentation must be current and compliant with agency and state requirements
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required for this position
