Pharmacist Inpatient - Travel/Contract
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide pharmacy services with inpatient or outpatient oncology experience.
- Must be IV trained and able to prepare hazardous and non-hazardous medications.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, shifts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
- Weekend requirement: work every 3rd or 4th Saturday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
- Floating: primarily at main hospital, may float to a nearby facility (~2 miles away).
- May care for COVID-19 patients.
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Hospital Pharmacist license in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year.
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- IV training for hazardous and non-hazardous medication preparations.
- Experience with Epic system.
Work Environment & Requirements
- No call requirements.
- Holidays as needed.
- Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days.
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start; updated annually.
- Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required within 1 year of start; must be finalized prior to start (cannot start with results pending).
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Childline) search required 3 business days prior to start; renewed every 5 years.
- Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment. Fingerprints must be completed in Pennsylvania.
- Employment application and most recent resume required.
- Two professional references within 3 years required.
- Annual skills checklist required.
- I9 attestation and government-issued photo ID required.
- E-Verify or attestation required.
Certifications & Competencies
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA or ARC accepted).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required depending on unit.
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required as applicable.
- Pass/fail Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required within 72 hours of contract signing.
- State license primary source verification required.
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP.
- Fit mask testing required within 1 year of start and updated annually; specific approved mask types mandated.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine required within 10 years of start.
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; PPD not accepted. For positive TB, negative chest X-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire required.
- Vaccination or positive titer documentation required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (full vaccine series or positive titer preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season.
- COVID-19 vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption or declination accepted.
- Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start (specific to agency requirements).
Facility Specific Requirements
- Clear, passport-style photo for badge required.
- Candidate must review and sign facility documents including:
- Code of Conduct
- Confidentiality Agreement
- Commitment to Health & Wellness
- Non-Employee Affidavit
- Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules required for RNs and CNAs; pharmacist-specific requirements to be confirmed.
- New hire orientation must be completed by end of first day.
