Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technologist - General

Location

  • Arlington, Virginia

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
  • Days: Tuesday through Friday
  • Shift hours: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Department Details

  • Outpatient pavilion with a focus on general and basic vascular ultrasound studies
  • Common exams include abdomen, pelvic, small parts, carotid, and DVT extremities
  • Daily caseload approximately 60 patients
  • Work setting includes outpatient rooms and potential hospital environment

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • Recent ultrasound technologist experience within the last year
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Experience with GE LOGIQ ultrasound machines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system (online Epic training provided on day 1)

Additional Information

  • First-time travel assignments are acceptable
  • Scrub color: Grey
  • Candidates must wear both agency and facility badges at all times
  • Multiple facility-specific policies and forms must be reviewed and signed prior to start
  • Online and onsite orientation and training required, including Epic modules for some candidates

This position is ideal for ultrasound technologists with strong general and vascular ultrasound skills seeking a 13-week travel assignment with a consistent 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule in an outpatient setting.

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
