Description
Respiratory Therapist
Location
- Meridian, Idaho
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour evening shifts
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU
- 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Must be able to care for adults, pediatrics, and NICU patients
Clinical Setting
- Covers ER, inpatient, and all floors
- Patient populations include NICU Level IIb, MICU, pediatrics, adults, geriatrics, PACU, and overnight oximetry
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ABGs and respiratory treatments
- Manage respiratory equipment
- Assist with intubation only
Scheduling and Coverage
- Self-scheduling
- Every other weekend required
- May be asked to rotate shifts, trade shifts, or fill staffing gaps
- Holiday rotation may be required
- Optional call with 30-minute response time
Floating
- May float throughout the hospital
- May also float to nearby sister facilities with advance notice
Orientation
- 1–2 shifts of unit-specific orientation
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Must be comfortable floating between ICU, MICU, MS-tele, and ER
- Clean, professional attire in any color
