RN - SCU

Job Overview

Location: Damariscotta, Maine
Setting: Travel RN role
Specialty: SCU/IMC
Shift: 6a-6p or 6p-6a
Weekly hours: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend minimum
Call: None for core hours
Float: Occasional float to MS

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Intermediate Care (5 years of experience)
Intermediate Care experience within the last year
Vasoactive drips experience
Ventilators experience

Preferred Experience

ICU/SCU experience

Unit Details

8-bed unit
Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 4:1
Common equipment includes ventilators, ceiling lifts, Plumb Pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and SCD boots
Patient population includes SCU, IMC, MS, and rare swing patients

Work Environment

Team-oriented, proactive, and high-standard care environment

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
