Medical Surgical RN Travel Contract

Overview

  • Location: Bristol, Tennessee
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
  • Weekly hours: 36
  • Schedule: 36/36 schedule
  • Unit type: Medical Surgical

Work Expectations

  • 1:7 patient ratio
  • Every other weekend and rotating holidays
  • No call
  • Floating to other units is required
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Permanent residence must be 100 miles or more from the hospital service area

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Tennessee
  • Med Surg (2 years of experience)
  • Med Surg experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Notes

  • 16 hours of nonbillable orientation
  • General orientation begins on Sundays
  • One shift may be canceled or called off biweekly without financial penalty if census decreases
  • Additional shifts above the work commitment may be flexed as needed based on census or resource needs

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
