Description
Sonographer
Location
- Weirton, West Virginia
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour day shifts
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification
- West Virginia license
- ARDMS and/or RVT certification
- Fetal experience
- OB and arterial extremity Doppler experience
- Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Unexpired driver’s license copy must be submitted with the application
- WV CARES required prior to start
Job Details
- General ultrasound, OB, small parts, and vascular ultrasound (upper and lower venous and arterial)
- Starts IVs
- No floating to other areas
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend
- May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
- 5-shift orientation with a preceptor
- First-time travelers accepted
Work Environment
- 3 ultrasound scanners/rooms
- Average volume: 35 studies per day
- In-house radiologist until 5 p.m.; after that, on call
- No call or standby requirement
- Clean, professional scrubs required; any color allowed
