CVOR Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in New Haven, Connecticut
- Start date: ASAP
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours
- Hours per week: 36
- Schedule includes call
- First-time travelers accepted
- Floating within scope may be required
- Guaranteed hours
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- CVOR (2 years of experience)
- CVOR experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Ability to scrub cardiac surgery independently and circulate
Schedule Details
- Two 24-hour weekend calls per schedule
- Two weekday calls per week, either 7:00 PM–11:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- One day per week available to stay late
Compliance / Onboarding
- Background check and employment verification required
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit test within 12 months of start, then annually
- 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- TB questionnaire required annually
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- Color blind testing required
- Skills checklist required within 12 months of start
- Employment application must show 7 years of work history with no gaps greater than 90 days
Additional Notes
- Pending license is accepted if active before start
- RTO greater than 7 days requires approval
- Scrub color is provided
- Parking is available for a monthly fee
