Registered Nurse — Surgical/Orthopedic Days

Location

  • Bangor, Maine

Employment Type

  • Contract
  • 13 weeks
  • 36 hours per week
  • Day shift: 7a–7p

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Maine
  • Orthopedics (3 years of experience)
  • Orthopedics experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Med Surg experience

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • MOAB or CPI certification
  • Telemetry experience

Role Overview

  • Provides patient care under the supervision of the Unit Director
  • Shift supervision is provided by the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse

Additional Notes

  • Travelers living within 50 miles of the facility receive a lower local rate
  • Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
  • The assignment may be canceled up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract
  • Flexible hours are expected
  • Strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and teamwork are required

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
