Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Overview

Travel/contract role in Staten Island, New York
Outpatient oncology clinic serving adult and geriatric patients
Weekday schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
37.5 hours per week
8-week assignment
No shift rotation
Approximately 12 patients per day
Primary procedure: PET scans

Required Qualifications

Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in New York
Nuclear Medicine Technologist (2 years of experience)
Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
NMTCB
PET imaging experience
Safe handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials

Preferred Qualifications

ARRT (N)
ARRT (PET)
PET/CT experience
Previous charge technologist experience
Hospital experience
Experience with GE and Siemens imaging equipment

Work Environment

Adult outpatient clinic
Oncology-focused imaging
Low daily patient volume

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
